SNAKE

Updated: Aug 23, 2020

Have you ever seen a snake before? You may think you have, but I assure you, you haven’t. Not all of them. For not all snakes slither on the ground.

Some have 2 legs and come in the form of humans, and they are all around us.

Snakes love the game of life, you’ll find them on every level. You cannot always see them, You may not even notice them at first, because they mask up and call themselves your friend or family, and only they truly know the game they’re playing.

Like all other bad things of the earth, you don’t always see them coming or can make them out from afar. It is not until you’ve been bitten by one, that you realize they are even there.

Not all snakes hiss when they come toward you. Instead, some may even call you sweetheart, pal or volunteer. Some smile at you, laugh with you, and pretend that they are happy to see you – happy for you. They don’t feel shame for doing you dirty or show any remorse when they’ve hurt you. Instead, they thrive and are at the top of their game, when others are in pain.

Snakes are the evilest of all things, because they give the illusion of goodness, on some level. But, I ask you, have you ever known a good snake?

Even dogs look down when they know they’ve done wrong, but a snake, oh no!

They will look you dead in the face, look deep into your eyes, and take everything you have – without even moving.

So, don’t be fooled! No matter how many times a snake sheds its’ skin, a snake it will always remain.

To the most recent snake in my life:

You may think that you have just revealed yourself to me as of late, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. You may have just chosen to bite me now, but I recognized your kind of evil a long time ago, which is why I left your pretend place of charity.

Disguised in yellow, pretending to be gold, making so many believe it was their stories you told. You may think you’ve won or beaten me down in some way, but just know that I know all your truths. So in your place, you should stay.

So slither lightly and be on your way, because believe me when I tell you, you don’t want this dance. All the darkness could never protect you from the light I can shine on you.

But, if you must, then try your chance. Just know that hell hath no fury as a Writer scorned.
